Time flies when you’re having fun! And the fun rings throughout Red Dog on a daily basis. You can hear us roaring with glee in the fields as we connect ourselves to soil and plants. The joy emanates and takes us away as we sweep through the summer. I have to remind myself to look up and take in the essence of the season, trying to keep myself grounded as to not fly away. There is such passion here for what we do, it blows me away everyday I am out here. This summer has flown past me. August is here and I feel like I could do this all year round, too bad the seasons hold me back. Maybe next summer will last forever!

Red Dog has brought me such happiness, I feel as though I owe it to our readers to spread my joy to you all. If I could package my emotions and send it, I believe the recipient would be emboldened and elated. And I hope that our produce brings you a similar sentiment of fervor and joy as it does for me. Even with an eight-hour day behind me, when I get home and start cooking, I feel a certain satisfaction. Knowing where the produce came from and how it is handled with care. And our CSA members help make this possible, thank you very much! I feel so lucky to be able to say I help feed my local community!
