The Spookiest Costumes
Happy November from the Red Dog crew! This Halloween we continued the Red Dog tradition of a group-themed costume, and we dressed as the spookiest thing we could think of…corporate office workers! As we gathered last Friday, we cheered as everyone clocked in, showing off their collared shirts and ties, undaunted by the cold and rain. Costume highlights included Flynn’s HR microphone headset, Hannah’s intern blazer, and Sky’s CEO suit.
“Packshed department to harvest department, did you get the memo about the spinach deliverables?” Our radio banter sounded a little different as we incorporated our best corporate lingo into the work day. Though the wind was blustery and our fingers cold, everyone stayed in character and laughed our way through the big Friday packlist.
Friday was a big celebration not only because of Halloween, but because it was many crew members’ last day on the farm. It was bittersweet to complete the last harvest cycle with those we’ve become so accustomed to working alongside this season, but we are excited for what’s next for these amazing folks. Kyla, Lily, Murray, Aaron, and Molly, you will be missed!
Now, as fog has settled over the valley, the field roads have began to flood, and some crops have begun to wither in the cold, spooky season has truly begun on the farm! Our small crew is putting on more layers and gearing up for a cozy winter on the farm filled with fewer crops, cold cheeks, and lots of laughter. We hope you enjoy these photos from Red Dog Halloween!
