Five Haikus for small, flying, departing neighbors
Thanks to Rod Just Realtor for the photo!
When are you coming?
Can we expect you by May?
Your call, Spring laughter
Now, suddenly, now
Different cloud in gray sky
Particulate joy
Azure wings at dawn
Breath of dew made gold and quick
Rise and chase the day
Ruts bear mud for home
Tight corners, new blue babies
Remember first home
And wheel south once more
Carry these warm days away
Return bright and sharp
~Solomon
