Basil Pesto
¼ lb. Basil (no need to de-stem or wash, just throw it all in)
3-5 cloves garlic, depending on preference
1/3 cup olive oil
¼ cup sunflower seeds
½ tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
Put basil, garlic, oil and salt in a food processor, blend until smooth. Add the sunflower seeds and process until it is your desired consistency. Freezes great, or store in the fridge up to 2 weeks.
