Nanny Position

We seek a short-term, part-time nanny for our nearly five-year-old daughter. The ideal applicant would We seek a nanny for our nearly six-year-old daughter. The ideal applicant would love spending time with young children, have relevant experience and possess a warm and caring disposition. First aid training preferred. Must be able to drive (our car) and have a safe driving record.

Position Purpose

This position involves all aspects of caring for and entertaining a young child. This may include preparing simple meals, picking up from school/camp, driving to activities, attending/hosting playdates, as well as mostly hanging out around the farm and farmhouse. This position involves cleaning up after yourself, and engaging our child to participate in chores such as washing dishes, picking up toys, cleaning messes, etc. There are no cleaning expectations outside of messes generated during your time together.

Favorite activities include: building/creating, arts and crafts, imaginative play, painting, drawing, playing outside, gardening, hiking, wild-crafting, playing with our dog, being read to, listening to music. Common destinations are the park, beach and library. We do not do weekday screen time.

Compensation

  • $20 per hour
  • Unlimited organic produce from our farm stand (vegetables, berries, plant starts, flowers)

Schedule

  • April 7th- 18th: Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm (willing to consider fewer hours)
  • May 23rd: 9am- 5pm
  • May 26th: 9am- 5pm
  • Now- mid-June: couple afternoons per week, 2:45- 5pm, days negotiable
  • July- August: Mon- Fri 12:30- 5pm (some days 9am- 5pm work is available)
  • We’re open to hiring different people for different time periods
  • Occasional weekends available, if desired
